Potato Chips and Bears

Updated: Aug 14, 2018

Not that long ago I sat in my truck in front of the Tuolumne Meadows store in Yosemite and ate a bag of kettle chips and saw a dude that needed a lift so I offered him a ride to wherever I ended up camping and he could go from there. Everything was booked along Tioga Pass all the way down to the 395 so I just ended up giving him a ride to Mammoth. Turns out my hitchhiker friend Stuart was a retired filmer/producer dude and was finishing up a big chunk of the PCT. We stopped at Mono Lake and a few other spots along the way to grab some photos before heading further south to Mammoth. Over the next few days we ended up hiking and climbing out in the Sierras and got confronted by a good size bear before making a descent down a pretty gnarly waterfall. I’m pretty stoked that I’m going to be returning to this area soon and revisiting some of these places. As for now I’m in Cape Cod eating a shitload of potato chips, writing and filming a few cool things.I can’t wait to get back out on the road.
